چکیده

Background Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of lymphoma in humans and dogs and has similar biology and clinical behavior in both species. Therefore, comparative approaches in understanding the disease may be beneficial to both species. The deregulation of nuclear factor kappa B (NFB) pathway, composed of classical and alternative pathways, is important in the pathogenesis of DLBCL. However, studies have largely focused on the classical pathway and the role of the alternative pathway is incompletely understood. In this study, we characterize the alternative NFB pathway in DLBCL to test its potential as a therapeutic target.

An oncogenic role for alternative NF-κB signaling in DLBCL revealed upon deregulated BCL6 expression.

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a complex disease comprising diverse subtypes and genetic profiles. Possibly because of the prevalence of genetic alterations activating canonical NF-κB activity, a role for oncogenic lesions that activate the alternative NF-κB pathway in DLBCL has remained elusive. Here, we show that deletion/mutation of TRAF3, a negative regulator of the alternative NF...

The Evaluation of Immunophenotypes in Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma: A Single Center Study

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive malignancy of mature B lymphocytes. It is known as a heterogeneous disease with variable therapeutic responses and alternative therapies. Morphological and immunophenotypical evaluation of the biopsy specimens can help diagnose DLBCL. Methods: In the current study, 44 patients were chosen from Shaheed Sadoghi Hospital (2010&nda...

HISTIOCYTE-RICH B-CELL LYMPHOMA: A CASE REPORT OF A RARE VARIANT OF DIFFUSE LARGE B-CELL LYMPHOMA

The authors describe a case of histiocyte-rich B-cell lymphoma (HR-BCL), a variant of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in a 51-year-old man. The patient presented with large axillary lymphadenopathy. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical examination of lymph node biopsy revealed diffuse effacement of the lymph node architecture by reactive histiocytes and neoplastic CD20 positive B cells. ...

Primary Hepatic Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in a Patient with Scleroderma

Primary Hepatic Lymphoma (PHL) is rare and possibly associated with viral hepatitis and autoimmune diseases. Scleroderma could exceptionally be complicated by lymphoma. We describe PHL occurring in a 52-year-old female suffering scleroderma for eight years, with no history of cytotoxic or high-dose glucocorticoid therapy. CT scan, performed to work-up abdominal discomfort, constipation, and ...

Chromosome instability in diffuse large B cell lymphomas is suppressed by activation of the noncanonical NF-κB pathway.

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common form of lymphoma in the United States. DLBCL comprises biologically distinct subtypes including germinal center-like (GCB) and activated-B-cell-like DLBCL (ABC). The most aggressive type, ABC-DLBCL, displays dysregulation of both canonical and noncanonical NF-κB pathway as well as genomic instability. Although, much is known about the tum...
